How To Find The Best Fitness Approach

There are way too many diets out there. Unfortunately, not even the medical community can reach a consensus on the best one. So how are you going to?

1. Caloric intake. If the diet requires an extremely low caloric intake, then do not do it. How low: anything below 1200 calories and you are looking for trouble.

2. Enough carbohydrates. If you have less than 100 grams of carbohydrates per day, your body will cannibalize muscle tissue. Moreover, your brain needs a steady supply of blood sugar in order to function at peak capacity.

3. Balance. Without balance you will miss out on a lot of health benefits. After all, the nutrients found in different foods interact with each other to improve health in ways that we still do not understand. You also need the extra energy from a balanced diet when trying to lose weight.

4. Sufficient variety. Any plan should have sufficient variety to keep your palate appeased. The level of variety needed will vary from person to person. And if a diet requires a very narrow intake of food items then it will probably not be sustainable.

5. Up selling and cross selling of products. Be weary of diets where the author up sells and cross sells products from which he is affiliated. Such marketing schemes provide very biased information.

6. Wonder pills. Some diets out there are based on a single supplement. Such approaches are fatally flawed and will have you spinning your wheels. So please stay away from supplement centric diets.
